  1. It was extremely fun and I taught science along with 3 other people. We played games with the children and they were so active. I could experience something different from my everyday routine. I would definitely come back to teach the children. The people there are all so nice including the teachers and the other staff.

I would love it if more people participate in things like this to help and understand the community that Indonesia is known for. We participated in the morning assembly and I saw things that I have never seen before so that was nice.

  2. It was a great experience as we can all interact with the kids there. For me the teaching was the most fun part we played games about science.
The students seems so delighted although they were hard deal with at first we got around and understood each orher's basic needs.

  3. It was so fun, a wonderful experience to interact with the children. They were so enthusiastic to learn new things and since they haven't really start learning IPS, the subject that we were supposed to teach, we played some games and got to know each other. We also played hangman, because apparently they really like that game. Overall, it was such a great time and new experience for me.

  5. At SD 17 Kebun Jeruk, my friends and I taught grade 4 children maths. We taught them fractions and I was extremely surprised that they were very enthusiastic and eager to learn. They understood the topic really well and really fast. Whenever they couldn't do a question, they always asked us and we always helped them. Aside from that, these children are also very polite, smart and respectful. I am very happy and grateful to have been given the chance to teach them.

  8. Last week, we went to SD 17 kebun Jeruk near our school. We taught them Maths, divison and multiplication in fractions. At first they looked quite confused by our method but as we continued, they seem to start understanding little by little. In the end, we didn't have enough time to finish the lesson and had to go back to BBS. I think the lesson went well and they learnt at least a thing or two.

  10. It was very refreshing to see students who are excited and actually wanted to learn new things. Their excitment and cheerfulness were very contagious that it made us all very motivated to teach them as well.

I think it was a great experience for all of us because in times we forget about the people, especially the kids who are not as lucky as we are. It was a great time because not only did we get to help others and show our community some love but also the fact that we get to excerise patience in teaching the children.

  11. It was a very fun experience! A very good way to start the day. Wednesday morning, we walked to SD 17 Kebun Jeruk to teach the students. They started the day by singing the national anthem and singing a couple of other songs, they were very energetic and joyful. After their "assembly", they went to their respective classes. I taught math in kelas 5B. Very smart students, and had a very joyful vibe. Much love to students in SD 17 ^o^

We all had a good time together and I felt happy seeing them have fun :) Hope we can spend more time with them soon.
